Vanuatu is great for teens, with a whole range of activities within 15 minutes’ drive from the major hotels:
1. Visit Mele Cascades Waterfall
The Mele Cascades Waterfall is sure to be a family favourite, and is a must-do in Vanuatu. Only a short drive from Port Vila, kids will love swimming in the natural pool, or walking to the top of the waterfall.
2. Paddle Boarding
Stand up paddle boarding is a great way for the family to take in the sites around the harbour and a fun way of exploring different sites along and around the bays of Port Vila. The boards are both easy and fun to ride, and there are two sites available – La Bodega for Port Vila Bay Safari, and at the Starfish Cove for Lagoon Paddle.
3. Underwater ocean walker
Departing from Nambawan Café, the ocean walker allows you to take an underwater walk through Port Vila harbour, and get up-close with the tropical fish and stunning coral life.
4. Buggy Fun
Rent your own buggy, or take the guided tour options, which take you through small tracks, black-sand beaches, and to local villages. Prepare to get muddy on this tour, and have a truly fun family day out! Buggy Fun is open to children 6 years and over.
5. Tropic Thunder jet boat
Enjoy a thrilling and fun-filled ride on Port Vila harbour at high speed on 360 spins. The tour is a great way to see amazing spots of the harbour and the islands of Iririki and Ifira, while feeling the jet boat power of a thumping big block V8 propelling the boat at speeds of 100kmh.
